Identification of Advertising Trends in The Mass Media and On the Internet Used by Modern Terrorism

Resumen: The authors have set themselves the goal of analyzing the mass media and coverage of terrorist attacks on the Internet, to assess their impact on the growing number of terrorists in the world based on this analysis. The methodological basis of this research is represented by the comprehensive approach, which allowed identifying and corroborating the need to restructure the media and the Internet to combat modern terrorism. The epistemological potential of the statistical and sociological methods used within quantitative and qualitative research makes it possible to properly interpret the results of scientific research devoted to the subject of analysis. The results suggest that current activity by the media and Internet users encourages the growth in the number of terrorist acts in the world and improves the efficiency of recruiting newcomers to terrorist organizations.

INFORMATION ANALYTICS OF THE ISLAMIC TREND IN MODERN FUNDAMENTALISM

Abstract: The subject of the research is fundamentalism, which represents a destructive phenomenon in the religious life of human civilization. The scope of the research involves Islamic fundamentalism, which is one of the essential foundations of modern terrorism. The authors have set a goal to carry out analysis of Islamic fundamentalism and use the obtained results to identify its characteristic features and origins, conduct a comparative evaluation, and identify the substantial differences between Islamic fundamentalism and traditional Islam. The authors determine its strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats to its future existence. The theoretical foundation of this research includes scientific works analyzing the genesis and manifestations of Islamic fundamentalism, results of sociological surveys, and statistical data.

INFORMATION ANALYTICS OF THE RADICAL TRENDS OF MODERN ATLANTIC-EUROPEAN NATIONALISM

Abstract: The object of the study is nationalism as a phenomenon of human civilization. The subject is thetrends of Atlantic-European nationalism. The authors set a goal, based on the analysis of methodological approaches to the nature of nationalism, to reveal its main radical trends of manifestation in Europe and the USA. The authors pay special attention to the study of the duality of the manifestation of nationalism in various regions of the world. On the example of individual countries, it is shown that nationalism in its manifestation in society can play both a constructive role, acquiring a patriotic orientation, and a destructive one, performing the function of a catalyst for escalating social tension. The theoretical base includes scientific works on the analysis of the genesis and manifestation of nationalism, the results of opinion polls and statistical data.

JIHAD AS A PERVERSE CONCEPT OF MODERN ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS

Abstract: The object of this study is jihad, as one of the pillars of the world religion of Islam. The subject of the study is the concept of jihad in the interpretation of modern Islamic fundamentalists and adherents of the traditional Muslim faith. The authors set a goal based on the results of the analysis of approaches to the interpretation of jihad in the theological and scientific literature to identify the adequacy of its interpretation by representatives of traditional and fundamentalist Islam, to assess its impact on the activities of modern Islamic terrorist organizations. Аннотация. Объектом исследования является сознание личности террориста. Предметом исследования выступают базовые социально-психологические универсалии, присущие, по мнению автора, индивидам, входящим в современные террористические организации. Результаты отечественных и зарубежных исследований в сфере анализа террористической деятельности показывают неоднозначность в трактовке мотивов, движущих современным террористом.

Abstract. The research object is a terrorist’s mind. The research subject is the basic socio-psychological universals, which, in the author’s opinion, are typical for the members of contemporary terrorist organizations. The results of Russian and foreign research in the sphere of analysis of terrorist activity demonstrate the ambiguity of interpretation of the motives of a contemporary terrorist.

Аннотация. Объектом исследования выбран экстремизм. Предметом исследования – особенные признаки дефиниции «экстремизм», содержащиеся в нормативных правовых актах. В работе на основе анализа отечественных и международных нормативных правовых документов доказано, что категория «экстремизм» не имеет универсального юридического толкования.

Abstract: The main purpose of the work is to analyze the dichotomous approach to assessing the impact of the poverty level in society on the growth of the number of terrorists in the 21st century and, on the basis of the results obtained, to justify the place of poverty in the rating of sources of modern terrorist activity. The theoretical basis of the research is a set of scientific papers that examine the relationship between socio-economic trends and terrorist activities, the results of sociological surveys and statistical data.
